There is nothing healthy about this recipe except that indulgence itself is healthy once in a while (use your CMH bracelet to count indulgences during the week. It will keep you mindful). That being said, you will wow your guests and no one has to know it was semi-homemade. Scratch is all relative nowadays, right? For those who know me, I’m big into entertaining and this has become a go-to dessert. Cupcakes 1 box Duncan Hines Moist White Cake Mix…
Happy Baby, Happy Mom: Melissa and Doug Puzzles
I made a vow to try to keep Camden’s toys somewhat old school. Wood, shapes, blocks..the things I grew up playing with. The pre-mom version of me hated anything plastic, loud, multi-pieced and patterned. Then I realized that you sometimes resort to almost anything to keep your wee one entertained so you can work and do basic things, like shower and brush your teeth. Well, one throw-back product seems to keep him entertained at this young age. He loves Melissa…
Angel on my Cabinet
So we’ve all heard of the Angel on your shoulder. She whispers in your ear to do the right thing. Well, I was unpacking my belongings into our new house and came across our Christmas ornaments. I found a little angel and thought, she could be the angel on my wine cabinet…whispering to me that I just spent an hour in the gym and I don’t need that Pinot Noir tonight. The concept is pretty similar to why I created…
Sassy Stack
The Sassy Stack of three Silver Count Me Healthy bracelets continues to be a best seller. I’m wearing mine here. I think because the stack of three bangles, each with a different bead etching, is just a classic, feminine look. A wonderful bonus is you can count three daily goals with your stack too! To get an even higher impact, pair with other bracelets or your favorite watch (I continue to see them on the web paired with Michael Kors…
Start Where you Are…
I am so in love with this quote by Arthur Ashe, especially on a Monday. Doesn’t it seem like conditions are never quite right…to start that new project, reach that goal or take that chance you have been constantly thinking about? They are never going to be just right. Especially if you are comparing yourself to someone else’s talents or possessions. You are never going to have all of the tools, provisions, swag you feel you need to be completely…
Healthy Sunday Grilling
Not much beats grilling on a summer Sunday. Today we had tilapia and wild Alaskan salmon (the Kirkland brand at Costco is my favorite). We change up the marinades, but always try to keep it healthy. The tilapia was marinaded in Ken’s light Italian dressing and the salmon in Trader Joe’s Soyaki. Although Soyaki contains sugar, it’s much lower in both salt and sugar than many of the other teriyaki type dressings on the market. If you choose to use…
