Since many days we have limited time to devote to our workouts, it’s important to maximize every minute. To really push myself, I repeat “You can do anything for one minute.” or “One minute of burn isn’t that bad.” I prefer to count sets in 60 second increments instead of counting reps. I can only do so many things at once and would rather focus on form than on what rep I’m on. I always lose track when counting reps!
One way I manage my minute is with the help of the Gymboss interval timer. It’s small, easy to use and can clip on to your shirt or pants. I now use Gymboss in place of counting my reps during HIIT (high intensity interval training). As an fyi, I didn’t know it came with a clip so I spent the extra money on the wrist band. I don’t think this is worth it as the clip works just fine.

So I use the Gymboss to count 60 second HIIT increments and my Color Collection CMH bracelet to count my overall sets per workout.
I’m to be including more of my go-to fitness gear as part of my 90 Days of Summer Shape Up Tips series. To get each post in the series, RSS this blog or sign up for emails here. – CC
