This is my third year curating a list of pretty and useful gifts for the fitness enthusiast and these are gems! I spend hours on this guide, bunkering down with my coffee, laptop and some healthy-ish snack I shouldn’t be mindlessly throwing back. This healthy holiday gift guide is for the gal who lives in comfortable, fashion-flexible activewear, craves a challenging workout and enjoys staying up on the latest nutritional and clean beauty trends. If you have someone on your holiday list that fits this description (or “this is me!” you say), then you may find the perfect gift below. Everything on this list I either love/swear by or I have on my personal gift list this year. Plus most of these are women-owned companies, which I appreciate.
Healthy Holiday Gift Guide for the Stylish and Sporty
a) Heroine Sport – Wham Metallic Appliquéd Stretch Leggings: Because leggings are so popular it’s hard to stand out while at the same time looking sleek. There are a lot of loud leggings out there, but these have just the right amount of attitude + forgiving stretch. Also Heroine Sport does a great job with their ultra high-waist, which is a must for me.
b) goop Beauty Goopglow Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator: As I get older I realize how important it is to continuously exfoliate (dry brushing, dermaplaning, retinol—all in my anti-aging arsenal). goop Glow Exfoliator is inspired by the brightening effects of in-office microdermabrasion treatments, but at a fraction of the price and you can do it at home.
c) Veja – Net Sustain Esplar Leather Sneakers : Ok these are high on my list. I’ve wanted them for a while and then wanted them even more once I saw them on Ben Platt while watching Netflix’s The Politician (I’m obsessed with this series). Veja works closely with local farmers and factories to ensure its sneakers are responsibly made from start to finish. They are the new, cool refined alternative to Stan Smiths.
other fun color options:
d & e) Chelsea Charles Jewelry live love golf necklace in 14k gold-filled and gold tricolor Count Me Healthy bracelet: I had to include one of our new live love golf styles in the guide because I’m in love with these course-to-cocktail 18″ necklaces for the avid golfer. Available in 14k gold filled, sterling silver and as a gift set with earrings.
The rose gold tricolor Count Me Healthy bracelet is a best seller and goes with any attire. Aside from being a timeless, beautiful cuff, it can also be used to track things like daily glasses of water, fruit and veggie servings, caffeinated beverages and more by moving the beads.
f) Alo Eternal hoodie: A hoodie with eye-catching, layered sleeves creating structural interest? Yes please! Alo is such an incredible brand. This would be perfect for kicking around in the home office, running errands or heading to a studio class.
g) Blanc Noir Freestyle Mesh Insert Jacket: Blanc Noir is one of my favorite activewear brands. This is the second year in-a-row they’ve made my gift guide because their style is classic, but has a punk edge. This sport-inspired jacket merges gym style with street style and includes a water-resistant finish. Also available in white. Some other Blanc Noir jacket options
h) EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46: This was recommended by my Dermatologist and it is the best facial sunscreen I’ve ever used. Fragrance-free, this sunscreen’s smooth formula includes sodium hyaluronate to moisturize while lactic acid refines the skin reduce shine. It also contains niacinamide, which fights skin discoloration and water loss.
i) Obagi-C Fx System C-Clarifying Serum: The EltaMD Sunscreen and C-Clarifying Serum go hand-in-hand via application in the AM. Also recommended by my derm, I have been using this for three years and it is a complexion game changer. It lightens and brightens your skin while healing free-radical and sun damage. You used to have to get a prescription and I was so excited to see they now offer it online and I can share it with you.
j) Non-slip Studio Footie Socks: I started to wear these whenever I go to Barre3 or streaming Hilliard Studio Method because they provide much needed traction when my feet start to sweat. They are also great to wear around the house if your home has wood floors. Only downside is it makes it harder to grip sliding discs during your workout, but I’ve just learned to really press down on the slides with my big toes. These are also a great option.
k) Body Love Every Day (Choose Your Life-Changing 21-Day Path to Food Freedom) by Kelly LeVeque: I have become a big fan of Kelly’s in the last few months. I read her first book Body Love and listened to her on the Goop Fellas podcast. I love how her eating plan is flexible, yet she tells it to you straight. Her strategy is centered around the Fab 4 (healthy fats, greens, fiber and protein), eating with intention and the understanding that weight is largely maintained by removing foods (sugar/fast carbs) that produce insulin surges–leading to stored fat.
