Custom Ink opens at Charlotte’s Park Road shopping center.
Recently Custom Ink, the leader in apparel and accessories for groups, events and special occasions, opened their first location in Charlotte, North Carolina at the hip Park Road Shopping Center. So after lunching on your artisan salad from Chopt and your Apple Pie á la Mode cupcake from Suárez Bakery, pop into Custom Ink and let one of their team members help you design the perfect custom activewear for your team, promo products for your business, standout t-shirts for your reunion or any other event you wish to elevate via print and design.
Why choose Custom Ink?
What makes Custom Ink unique and the best choice when designing your personilized gear is their one-on-one, in-store customer experience. A team specialist (known as a T-shirt Ambassador) will sit down and guide you through the design and production process. They have huge desktop screens so you can see your logo in different sizes and colors. Test out your design in multiple placements on your gear before committing. They will help you with quantities, pricing and make sure you have your items delivered on time for your event.
Another benefit of visiting their brick and mortar store is being able to feel the different activewear, hat, bag and t-shirt materials along with the various ink treatments (examples below). This is something solely online print e-commerce doesn’t offer. And they carry some of the biggest brands like Adidas, Nike, Under Armour and Champion.
The Design Process
I choose Custom Ink to design my brand’s jewelry pouches/treasure bags for upcoming trunk show events I have scheduled throughout the Carolinas. Mini pouches make for great branding touchpoints because women can stash them full of jewelry or makeup–things they wear on a daily basis. The experience was great so I outlined the steps below.
Step 1.
Just go online and schedule an appointment at the Park Road Shopping Center location in Charlotte. The day before your appointment email them your graphic file. If you are a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants individual you can just give it to them at the appointment. They accept multiple formats like jpeg, psd and ai. When you go in for your appointment they will have your files ready to go.
Step 2.
At your appointment let your T-shirt Ambassador know what type of product you want, your budget, when you need your custom designs delivered, and quantities. And you don’t need to order huge quantities either. They will customize small batch and even single items too. I decided after designing my pouches that I wanted to make my friend a custom #thisis40 flowy tank top for her birthday event in Charleston.
Step 3.
Once you’ve chosen items to customize, they will upload your logo or special design on the promotional materials. You can then decide size, color, etc. They work within a print box so your design will always be centered correctly.
Step 4.
You will then receive an email from a Custom Ink “Satisfaction Assurance Associate” with a link to the proof you designed. These proofs are just to make sure there are no surprises in production. Just click the link and either approve your proof or make any final design changes. You will then receive another email with tracking when your order is ready to ship! They are wonderful about keeping you informed.
The final products!
I couldn’t be happier with the pouches–chic and functional with a bold, clear logo printing centered perfectly. You can find the exact cosmetic bags I designed below here.
I received lots of compliments on them at one of my recent events, a meet-and-greet (and killer barre class!) at Barre3 in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Customers received one with every 14k custom Love Tag necklace ordered.
Inside The New Park Road Custom Ink
The environment inside CI is artistic and modern…right down to the music. Exposed concrete flooring and stark walls (save their accent wall in CI’s signature tangerine) showcase the reclaimed wood shelves and racks of product offerings.
