I love yoga pants as much as the next girl, but sometimes I get sick of them. Don’t get me wrong. I am thankful for the social acceptance to wear them throughout the day instead of having to don constricting denim or skirts that require a heel. But spring calls for change (with the stipulation that change must be as comfortable as active wear). Last month I was at my son’s 5th birthday when I saw this women wearing adorable, chambray striped pants and I had to find out where she got them. I couldn’t believe they were from Old Navy and under $40! Ladies up until this point I was anti-Old Navy, but these pants made me take a second look.
What makes these chic casual pants amazing beyond the price point and a “10” on the comfort scale? Well they hit perfectly on the hips and the wide leg is just wide enough to accentuate your figure. So even if you are really petite you won’t be drowning in them. They look fabulous with sandals and closed-toed flats. They wash up nicely and don’t need to be ironed if taken out of the dryer and hung promptly. They make great pants to take in your suitcase for a warm weekend getaway. Basically they are good-looking and low maintenance (like my husband, Geoff). I have them in white and denim stripe. I’ve listed them below along with some cool sandal and top options.
I’d love to hear your activewear alternatives when you want to be comfy, but still look stylish. x CC
