Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays: The colors, the paper-goods, the sweets! There is something airy and light about it. But I feel like the flowers and chocolates are being replaced by cool things you can actually wear and use. Gone are the days when I bought my 6th grade boyfriend a 4-piece mini-box of Russell Stover’s assorted chocolates and the single cassette tape of C&C Music Factory’s “Just a touch of love.” Don’t hate. I still love that song. Anyway, it’s not just for lovers anymore either. Valentine’s Day is a perfect time to show your sisters and girlfriends you appreciate them too.
I never pass up an opportunity curate a gift guide of things I think you will love, so here are a couple pretty suggestions for others (or yourself) from Chelsea Charles Jewelry as well as two of my other favorite places for online gifting, Anthropologie & Urban Outfitters.
Teak & Bottle Vases: $98-$108
I thought these were such a marvelous combination of modern and organic.
Love Style Life by Garance Dore: $30
She is the epitome of elegance and chic. This is an easy read, an extension of her blog, with Dore’s take on everything from rocking short hair to having a Zaragasm (yes there is such a thing).
Chelsea Charles Love Tag Necklaces: $39
These are a feminine, fun take on the dog tag. Two-sided with over 30 words of inspiration on the front and a dainty, stamped heart on the back. Available in 14k gold filled or sterling silver.
Crystal Cactus Manifestation Fairy Dust for candles: $18
I thought this was some weird, useless hippie dust but it’s more. More! Sprinkle this herb-infused glitter dust on candles, bonfires + more for an intoxicating scent.
Voluspa Japonica Mini Candles, Set of 3: $24
Voluspa is my favorite brand of candles and a little bit goes a long way. If you keep the lid off of the unlit tin in a small room it works better as a freshener than most scented oils. That’s why I thought this mini-set would make a delightful gift. Winner in my book: Baltic Amber
Count Me Healthy Helping Hearts silver bracelet created for the American Heart Association: $75
I really enjoyed this collaboration. Helping Hearts is a silver journal bracelet with heart etched beads. Like all of my other journal bracelets, move the beads to count goals like increasing your daily fruit and vegetable servings or eating more heart-healthy super foods like blueberries or salmon. It’s only available on the AHA website.
Two-way headphone splitter – just put the aux cord in the device you want to listen to + plug your headphones into one of the dual aux inputs. Great for watching movies + TV with friends on any device with an aux port.
And because this is all about Valentine Gifting, I’m doing a Get One, Gift One contest. Enter to win a journal bracelet of your choice along with one for your love or best friend. Ends 2/12/16. – xx CC
