Being that it’s Mother’s Day I wanted to highlight an ultra stylish and sophisticated mommy who seems to have it all: brains, beauty and (work/life) balance. I am constantly inspired by Brittany ‘s gorgeous Instagram whether it’s her interior design, fashion or how she dresses her adorable daughter. Welcome to My Home!

Hi everyone I’m Brittany Ragsdale-Sugg. I am so excited to get to share some of my home today with you! I am wife to Burt and Mommy to our two year old daughter Penelope! I am also an interior designer, home builder, and my husband and I also own and manage a commercial road construction business. Whew. I’ve learned to juggle quite well in the past couple of years! I think any mom can relate to that!

When it comes to my style in home design, I love to start with an open, neutral, light palette juxtaposed with unique, striking features that give a little wow factor but still allows for the client the freedom of making the space their own. One room easily flows into the next, not a lot of static. The footprint, windows, and doors of a home will allow for good light. All are crucial to create a beautiful background that allows you to easily choose your own direction in how you fill the space…and then fill the space I do!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’ve been so inspired by my daughter when designing our space. I want everything she sees and touches to be bright, soft, cozy, and to make her happy. Simple can still be stunning. I wanted it to be as fun and full of life as she is. Mantras, good life lessons, family photos, and symbols of kindness and love are all around. Oh yes…and toys. Lots and lots of toys! Embrace them.
