I made a vow to try to keep Camden’s toys somewhat old school. Wood, shapes, blocks..the things I grew up playing with. The pre-mom version of me hated anything plastic, loud, multi-pieced and patterned. Then I realized that you sometimes resort to almost anything to keep your wee one entertained so you can work and do basic things, like shower and brush your teeth. Well, one throw-back product seems to keep him entertained at this young age. He loves Melissa and Doug sound puzzles. They are for 2+ years, but he just likes the noises. We clap our hands to the noises. Plus, I think they actually look cool on the coffee table and offer a bit of nostalgia to our home. If you are a mother, you know you can get these multiple places, but pricing varies dramatically based on websites. They sometimes run flash sales on One Kings Lane, however I just learned they sell these at Michael’s as well. – CC
