So, it is gorgeous out. The dogwoods are blooming, so much so, that due to the ethereal abundance of white, cloud-like flowers cascading from the trees, I’ve nicknamed one of the tree-lined streets in our neighborhood “angel street.” And nothing is better then being able to enjoy these beautiful outdoor days with friends—cold drinks in hand. And although a porch stoop or basic lawn chair will do in a pinch, lately I’ve been searching for the perfect, out of-the-ordinary seating to enhance my yard. Here are a few of the inspiring seating pieces I’ve come across. Vive printemps!
Metro Bench
I can’t get over this bench. Love the lines and can just imagine having a picnic with some crisp white wine, homemade gazpacho and shrimp skewers (yep, daydreaming about it). It’s a park bench all grown up in a tailored suit. This piece is handcrafted and made of rescued (different from reclaimed) wood. (artavironi on etsy.com)
Butterfly Bench
The perfect feminine focal point for a girly garden or one blessed with little girls and tea parties. This is made of steel and galvanized zinc and comes in 3 sizes (www.Horchow.com)
Chinese Garden Stools in Silver or Gilded Gold
Now, garden stools are nothing new. They dress up a living room as easily as they do your backyard. But I was really taken with the hue of these on Wisteria. They throw glam against a wood accent table: (wisteria.com)
Demilune Moon Pad by La Fete
As its name implies, this half moon seating is the perfect spot to stargaze and chill with a couple friends. Frontgate is the “go to” for a wide selection of outdoor furniture. Having the dog in the picture didn’t hurt to catch my attention. (www.frontgate.com)
Melrose Seating
Can’t you just imagine this seating next to the pool of the original Melrose place show? Oh–the arguments and makeout sessions that would ensue! I just love the intimacy and cool vibe of this seating. Another Frontgate find! (www.frontgate.com).
Go Love Rocker
The blue pop of this piece would bring energy to any porch or backyard. I like how they combined the panels of a club chair, but turned it into a comfortable rocker. The name is killer too (www.designwithinreach.com).
Any cool seating ideas or pics you wish to share? I wish you many happy spring days with family, friends and good conversation!
