As you know from the creation of Count Me Healthy, I feel strongly about prevention. My quick definition for prevention is “body and mind maintenance now for a longer, more beautiful tomorrow.” I take this stance when it comes to my morning/night facial cleansing routine too. Wrinkles, pigmentation, and sagging of facial skin can be attributed to many factors: genetics, sun worship, hormonal imbalance, poor eating, stress. So its important to try to combat these with tools like sunscreen, clean eating, a proactive approach to hormone balance, stress relieving techniques, and to a point… products.
I don’t care how rushed I am in the morning or tired I am at night I will do each step in my facial routine. I don’t care if I had waaayyyy too much red wine from a night out with friends, I will be TEETERING at the sink and doing each step of my facial routine!!! And honestly, I probably don’t need all this product, but I’m happier than I’ve ever been with my skin and to say that at age 30 (GASP) is saying something. So here it is.
GOOD MORNING DARLING:
Cleanser: June Jacobs Sensitive Formula Mandarin Polishing Beads.
This is Paraben and Preservative Free and smells wonderful. Plus it really cleans your pores. Note: just make sure it’s the sensitive formula or it will be like sand paper on your face.
After cleansing: SkinCeuticals PHLORETIN CF dropper
This is a broad-range antioxidant treatment that is supposed to protect cells as well as support collagen structure. This really helps fade skin pigmentation.
Then: SkinCeuticals HYDRATING B5 GEL dropper
This is a light-weight gel moisturizer.
Main Moisturizer: June Jacobs Age Defying Copper Complex
This stuff is GOLD. It has changed my life as a moisturizer and my friend Mona (Mona’s Day Spa) says its because of the copper peptides. I don’t know what it is but I would eat it if I could.
Sunscreen: Solar Protection TIZO3 Facial Mineral Fusion spf 58
I was given this as a gift from the Keller’s of the Keller Medical Institute in Pebble Beach. It is so light weight and the tint goes well with your makeup.
GOOD EVENING LOVER
Cleanser: June Jacobs Polishing Beads (same as above)
After cleansing: CELLEX-C High Potency Serum in dropper
This helps with skin elasticity as well as pigmentation
Then: Bio-Oil
You can get this miracle oil at any drugstore for around $10. It is used primarily to treat scar fading and stretch marks after pregnancy. However, one day I just decided to try on my face. I am in love with this product.
Main Moisturizer: Copper Complex again
Do you have facial routine products you swear by? I would so love to hear about them. Have a wonderful week and as always, keep counting.
