So, every night our turn-down service in Hawaii left us little treats. Unlike the common chocolates, these were the most moist and fresh coconut macaroons ever. They were sinfully delicious (coconut is my absolute weakness). And although the cookies were amazing, I was almost just as taken with the packaging they came wrapped in.
The wrapping consisted of one huge artfully-folded leaf tied with twine. What a simple, beautiful way to give a gift! And, it’s 100% earth-friendly. Here are some pics of how to wrap and create your own leaf packaging (the photos are in order from finished packaging to total macaroon devouring):
